Gas burner clicks but will not light
A spark igniter fouled with spilled food, a cracked ceramic electrode, or a burner cap seated wrong. Often cleanable rather than replaceable.
Oven will not reach temperature
On gas ovens, a weak bake igniter that no longer draws enough current to open the safety valve. On electric, a broken bake element or failed relay.
Food bakes unevenly or burns on one side
A drifting oven sensor, a convection fan that has stopped, or a door seal letting heat escape. We recalibrate rather than guess.
Oven gas smell or glow without heating
Stop and call us. This points at the safety valve or igniter circuit and should not be left running.
Control panel unresponsive or showing errors
Failed touch membrane, a control board that has taken a surge, or a locked-out self-clean cycle that needs resetting.
Self-clean cycle blew the oven out
Self-clean runs hot enough to kill thermal fuses and control boards — a very common call after the holidays.
